Subscan secures oil company survey contract from Arcadis

Report this content

Subscan has won the Arcadis Approved Supply Contract to undertake topographical and utility mapping surveys for a major oil company of its petrol stations across the UK.

The size and complexity of the task meant that the criteria for this contract were very stringent. Subscan had to prove its experience, robust methodology and health and safety procedures together with a competitive tendering format to secure the contract.

Subscan will now visit each petrol station to carry out a robust survey prior to Arcadis undertaking geotechnical works. Subscan will utilise its PenMap system in conjunction with GNSS/Total Station to record and map each site. This enables a much faster turnaround than traditional methods and reduces site time and the amount of post survey processing required.

In the last 20 years, Subscan has successfully completed over 3000 petrol station surveys across Europe for oil companies, contractors and environmental consultants. The company’s high standards and attention to detail will ensure it provides Arcadis with reliable survey data.
