AssiDomän acquires sack company in Croatia AssiDomän Kraft Products have today settled an agreement with Dukat d.j.i Jelah - Tesanj Mlin i Pekara regarding the acquisition of 65 % of the shares in the Croatian sack company Ekovreca. Ekovreca, is situated approximately 20 km Northwest of Osijek and produces paper sacks for food, grain products and building material. The sales are domestic and the company covers 30 % of the Croatian market. Net turnover 1997 amounted to about 37 MSEK. - The acquisition of Ekovreca will strengthen AssiDomän's development possibilities on the growing market in Croatia and neighbouring regions, explains Sven Porelius, President of AssiDomän Kraft Products. For AssiDomän Kraft Products, manufacturer of pulp, packaging paper and paper sacks, the acquisition of Ekovreca will mean that the company now has 17 production sites in nine European countries. Sack and Kraft paper are manufactured at three Swedish mills and one mill in the Czech republic.
