AssiDomän's Board calls extraordinary general meeting Sveaskog AB has today announced that the offer to shareholders in AssiDomän AB on acquisition of all the shares in the company has been accepted by shareholders representing more than 95 per cent of the shares. In order to give shareholders, who have not yet accepted the offer, the possibility to do so, the application period is being extended until January 14, 2002. Sveaskog intends to request compulsory redemption of outstanding minority shares as soon as possible. In view of the new ownership structure, all members of AssiDomän's Board who were elected by a general meeting have decided to tender their resignation. Following consultation with Sveaskog, the Board has decided to call an extraordinary general meeting on 14 January 2002 for election of a new board. AssiDomän's president and CEO, Gunnar Palme, will resign from his office on 28 December 2001. On the same date, AssiDomän's Board intends to appoint Sveaskog's president, Lars Sköld, as president and CEO of AssiDomän. Having consulted the Stockholm Stock Exchange (Stockholmsbörsen), the Board of AssiDomän will apply to the Stock Exchange for de-listing of AssiDomän's shares with effect from Monday, 28 January 2002. This means that the final day for trading in AssiDomän's shares on the exchange is planned to be Friday, 25 January 2002.
