AssiDomän Sepap completes Certfication of Environmental system
AssiDomän Sepap a. s. Successfully Completes Certification of its Environmental System As the first company in the Czech pulp and paper industry, and one of the first in the Czech Republic, AssiDomän Sepap has received certificate on its implementation of the new ISO 14001 and EMAS compliant environmental system. After obtaining ISO 9002 compliance certification of its quality management system in 1997, the company's management decided to implement a strategy for introducing an environmental management system compliant with the ISO 14001 standard, as well as meeting the requirements of Council Directive No. 1836/93 - EMAS. With the help of consulting firms Aquatest and Bureau Veritas, the new system was built using the quality system as a starting point, incorporating specific environmental procedures and designed from the ground up to meet the EMAS requirements. The certification audit has recognized the system as fully compliant and has confirmed that AssiDomän Sepap a. s. has fulfilled all requirements placed on systems of this kind. This enables the company to give its customers a guarantee that the delivered products are not only of high quality, but also that the production process behind them is managed with consideration for the environment. This production process ensures that the environmental impact of the company's manufacturing processes and services will steadily decrease. AssiDomän Sepap is part of the AssiDomän Group.
