Gunnar Palme appointed President of AssiDomän AB

Gunnar Palme appointed President of AssiDomän AB Gunnar Palme, aged 45, has been appointed President and CEO of AssiDomän AB. Since 1997 he has been vice president of Atlas Copco and president of their Industrial Technique Business Area. At AssiDomän's Annual General Meeting to be held on 14 June Gunnar Palme will be proposed as a new member of the company's Board of Directors. The proposal comes from the informal nomination committee, which represents around 59% of the total voting rights in AssiDomän AB. Gunnar Palme has held several positions within Atlas Copco since he joined them in 1980, including marketing manager and division manager for several divisions in Sweden and overseas. "I am very pleased about the appointment of Gunnar Palme," says the proposed new chairman of AssiDomän, Bernt Magnusson. "Gunnar has good experience of transforming companies with poor profitability. With his broad industrial and international background he is well suited to leading AssiDomän in the new phase of development it is now entering." Gunnar Palme will take up his new duties on 1 September.
