Lennart Ahlgren resigns as president of AssiDomän Following a decision by AssiDomän's board of directors, Lennart Ahlgren will leave the post of president and CEO as of 15 April. Until a new president is appointed, Roger Asserståhl, currently deputy CEO, will take over as president on 15 April. The board has started work aimed at recruiting a new president for AssiDomän. With AssiDomän now entering a new phase and with a series of key issues that must be solved, the chairman of the board, Olle Lund, has discussed the Group's situation with Lennart Ahlgren. "Lennart Ahlgren has led AssiDomän well during a period of merger and structuring with a strong focus on internal operations and organisational issues. The phase that the company must now embark upon will require a stronger emphasis on business and marketing, and it is the board's assessment that this requires a different leadership profile in order to move the process forward," says Olle Lund. "I believe that it is in AssiDomän's best interests that I now leave the post of President," says Lennart Ahlgren. "I will soon be 58 years old and I have held top executive positions in Swedish business for many years. I am entering a new phase of life and see new opportunities, including various assignments as board member." "Changes within AssiDomän, such as the current strategy review, must continue at a fast pace and not be held up while the leadership issue is resolved permanently. To ensure this, the board of directors has asked deputy chairman Bo Dockered and myself to actively follow the current work on strategy. The pace of work will also be safeguarded by the use of external resources, which are already being used within the company," concludes Olle Lund. In accordance with the Lennart Ahlgren's terms of employment, the board's decision involves a six-month period of notice followed by payment of all employment benefits for two and a half years.
