Sveaskog shares distributed and the State's offer will be completed At AssiDomän AB's Annual General Meeting today the decision was made to distribute all of the shares in Sveaskog amongst the shareholders in AssiDomän. This means that the Swedish State's offer to the shareholders in AssiDomän, in which the shareholders were offered shares in AssiDomän in exchange for their shares in Sveaskog, will be completed. The new AssiDomän shares will be accessible to shareholders from 24 June. When it comes to receiving cash payment for an uneven number of shares, this will be regulated on 30 June. As of 14 June 98% of the shareholders in AssiDomän AB have accepted the offer from the Swedish State. The acceptance period will be extended until 1 October 1999 in order to make possible for those shareholders that still have not submitted acceptance forms, to accept the offer. New Board members elected At AssiDomän AB's Annual General Meeting today Bernt Magnusson, Gunnar Palme, Lars-Åke Helgesson, Carl Wilhelm Ros, Gunnel Duveblad and Björn Björnsson were elected as new Board members. Bernt Magnusson was elected Chairman of the Board at the statutory board meeting. Hans Carlsson and Per Tegnér were both re-elected as members of the Board. AssiDomän is one of Europe's leading forest products companies. Production is concentrated on packaging paper, packaging, sawn timber products and timber processing. The Group, which is Europe's largest listed forest-owning company, had a sales turnover of SEK 24,000 million in 1998 and has 17,000 employees.
