Svedala acquires Spanish Crusher manufacturer

Svedala acquires Spanish Crusher manufacturer Svedala Industri AB has acquired the remaining 54% of shares in the Spanish company Construcciones y Estudios Industriales SA (CEI) - Spain's largest producer of crushing and screening equipment. Svedala became a minor stockholder in the company through last year's acquisition of Dragon SA in France. CEI has annual sales of about SEK 60 M and approximately 80 employees in Madrid. A consolidation of Svedala's present and acquired units will be taking place. Svedala has annual sales of about SEK 350 M in Spain at present and has sales and service units in Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. Through the acquisitions that were made in 1997/1998 in France, Italy and Spain, Svedala has become the market leading company for crushing and screening equipment in southern Europe as well. Svedala Industri AB Information Department Svedala Industri is the world's leading producer of equipment and systems for construction and mineral processing industries and materials handling. Annual sales of the Svedala Group, which has subsidiaries in nearly 50 countries, amount to about SEK 15 billion, with about 11,200 employees.
