Svedala lands orders totaling SEK 240 million Kansas City Power and Light (KCP&L) in the US has placed an order valued at slightly more than SEK 155 million with Svedala Industri regarding a complete coal terminal in Hawthorn, Missouri. The order covers a conveyor system and a highly automated system for storage, loading and unloading of coal. Svedala Bulk, which will design and build the entire facility, will also be responsible for the installation and start-up. The project is scheduled for completion during 2001. About three years ago, Svedala Bulk delivered a similar facility to KCP&L, at their Montrose Station in Missouri. Additional order for SEK 85 million In May, Svedala also booked another big bulk order valued at about SEK 85 million for a continuous barge unloader to an American customer. This equipment, which also will be designed by Svedala Bulk in Pittsburgh, will be delivered at the end of 2001. Combined with the order for approximately SEK 100 million reported on June 9 in the press, Svedala has secured three major bulk-handling project orders during the first half of the year with a total value of SEK 340 million.
