Per Jansson new Head of Monetary Policy Department

The Executive Board of the Riksbank has appointed Per Jansson as new Head of the Monetary Policy Department. He will take up his new post on 16 January 2010.

”The Executive Board knows Per Jansson as a very competent economist and a good manager. With his broad experience and substantial knowledge of monetary policy, we are all looking forward to working with him again,” says Governor Stefan Ingves. Per Jansson has previously worked at the Riksbank on macroeconomic analysis and has for instance served as Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department. He comes to the Riksbank from the post as state secretary at the Ministry of Finance.
