Swap agreement with Federal Reserve extended

Today the Riksbank has decided to extend the temporary swap agreement entered into with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on 19 March 2020.

The swap agreement is being extended by 6 months and will apply until 31 March 2021.

The agreement is part of a larger arrangement between the US central bank and a number of other central banks around the world aimed at improving liquidity conditions on global financial markets.
