Express bus company Swebus and the Göteborg Book Fair are expanding their collaboration. Swebus and Book Fair organisers Bok & Bibliotek are carrying out several joint marketing activities, including the popular Book Bus for book bloggers, that they hope will encourage more people to travel to the fair.

“Travel and books go together. Reading makes travelling more fun,” says Swebus press officer Ingvar Ryggesjö. “What’s more, major events like the Göteborg Book Fair encourage visitors from the whole of Sweden to travel with us. This makes it an interesting partner for Swebus and for our customers.”

The Göteborg Book Fair will be held from 22 to 25 September at the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre in Gothenburg. This year’s theme is Three countries, one language – Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

“We are delighted to be working with Swebus. The travel to the Book Fair project for book bloggers has already attracted a great deal of interest. The journey itself becomes part of the experience,” says Birgitta Jacobsson Ekblom, head of communications at Bok & Bibliotek.

This year Swebus and the Göteborg Book Fair are working together on:

- The Book Bus, a special journey for book bloggers where Swebus and the Book Fair provide travel and admission on Saturday 24 September 2011. Tickets are limited and applicants should register at www.swebus.se.

- A raffle in which Swebus customers can win one of ten tickets to the Book Fair. The competition will run until 11 September.

- Travel with Swebus to the Book Fair from across Sweden. For example, travel from Stockholm to Gothenburg on 23 September from SEK 249.
