Sweco acquires Bureau Stedelijke Planning

Sweco has signed an agreement to acquire the Dutch consultancy firm Bureau Stedelijke Planning, strengthening the offer in urban planning and strategic advising. 

Bureau Stedelijke Planning is mainly involved in the early planning phase of urban development, specialized in residential and workspace areas, shopping districts and leisure facilities. Bureau Stedelijke Planning was established in 1997 and employs 30 professionals, with an additional 20 self-employed consultants associated with the company. Revenue in 2020 was EUR 4.2 million.

“There are a lot of synergies between our organizations. With this acquisition, we are taking further steps in our strategy and strengthening of our expertise in the field of urban planning that will deliver more added value to our clients,” says Eugene Grüter, President of Sweco Netherlands.
