Sweco acquires consultancy in Norway with 70 employees

Sweco has signed an agreement to acquire the Norwegian Facility Management company NEAS consultancy departments for fire and safety, project management and advisory services for planning and building regulations. Sweco acquires the units for a sum of NOK 96 million.

“The acquisition of NEAS consulting services strengthens our position in the Norwegian market. We become market leaders within fire and safety and strengthen our project management position. At the same time we expand our service offering with advisory services for planning and building regulations. NEAS engineering consulting services have a very good reputation in the industry, especially within fire and safety”, says Vibecke Hverven, President of Sweco Norway.    

NEAS engineering consulting department for fire and safety have close to 50 consultants and offers among its services, fire technical advice with an emphasis on risk analysis.

The acquired units have a total of about 70 employees, with offices in Trondheim, Stavanger, Bergen, Stokke, Skien and Oslo. After the acquisition, Sweco will have close to 1.100 employees in Norway. The acquisition is expected to be completed no later than December 31.
