Sweco has acquired one of Estonia's leading project management companies, Vealeidja OÜ, with 35 employees. The acquisition will broaden Sweco’s service offerings and strengthen its positions in the Estonian market.

Sweco has already about 60 employees in Estonia, mainly active in building construction, infrastructure, energy and water and environment.

"We are very satisfied with the acquisition, which means that we can offer our Estonian customers a broader and more complete range of services. The market conditions in Estonia have improved during 2011 and we expect a long-term demand in infrastructure, energy and water and environment", says Pär Hammarberg, President of Sweco Central and Eastern Europe.

After the acquisition, Sweco will have more than 900 employees in Central and Eastern Europe.

So far this year, Sweco has acquired businesses with a total of about 600 employees in Sweden, Norway, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.
