Sweco acquires consulting firm in Finland

Sweco has advanced its position in Finland by acquiring all of the shares in the consulting firm of Tocoman Services Oy, with 26 employees.

“The acquisition will give Sweco valuable new competencies that will strengthen our entire operations in the building construction area. Tocoman Services’ expertise in cost and volume calculations is of great importance for successful construction projects and will give us an even better client offering,” says Markku Varis, President of Sweco Finland.

Tocoman Services is the Finnish market leader in cost and volume calculations. In addition, the company has vital expertise in BIM and has developed a BIM-based cost database.

The acquisition will be completed in January 2014.
