Sweco has strengthened its position in northern Sweden through the acquisition of the consulting business in PICAB Produktion AB with 64 employees.

“PICAB offers a set of highly sought-after services, primarily in measurement and energy engineering. By acquiring PICAB, we can develop our operations in northern Sweden and offer a more complete range of services,” says Johan Dozzi, President of Sweco Infrastructure.

PICAB has many years of experience from assignments connected to the construction and civil engineering sectors and electric power and energy industries.

“At PICAB we see major opportunities to continue evolving as a member of the Sweco Group. Both our employees and our clients will have access to Sweco’s combined expertise and a wider geographic presence. Becoming part of the Nordic region’s leading technical consulting company feels like a natural step in our development,” says Johan Rydström, President of PICAB Produktion AB.

PICAB Produktion AB was started in 1993 and is today a well established brand with offices in Jokkmokk, Luleå, Kiruna, Umeå and Uppsala. Together with PICAB, Sweco now has nationwide coverage in measurement and energy engineering.
