Sweco has signed agreements to acquire Planet Engineering and Nexilis based in Belgium and Götzelmann + Partner based in Germany.

“The acquisitions in Belgium and Germany are in line with the Sweco strategy to strengthen our positions in our local markets. We are very happy to welcome the employees of Planet Engineering, Nexilis and Götzelmann + Partner to Sweco,” says Åsa Bergman, President and CEO of Sweco.

Planet Engineering has a deep expertise in structural engineering in concrete or steel for buildings, industrial construction and civil engineering. Nexilis is an engineering consultancy focusing on building service systems and is best known for its participation in steering and advisory councils of Flemish and European research projects.

"With these aquisitions, we further strengthen our expertise in the field of buildings and infrastructure. The entrepreneurial strength, the disciplines and the portfolio make us as a good match”, says Erwin Malcorps, Managing Director of Sweco Belgium.

Götzelmann + Partner has specialist competences mainly in the area of waste water treatment plants, but also provide services in the areas of water, environmental technology, transport and energy.

“We look forward not only to an increased presence in Baden-Württemberg, but to offer our customers even further in-depth know-how,” says Ina Brandes, Managing Director of Sweco GmbH.
