Sweco has signed a preliminary agreement with the property investment company Sponda Plc for a new office complex in the Ilmala area of central Helsinki. An inspiring working environment in modern and eco-certified facilities will support growth, knowledge sharing and collaboration between employees and clients.

“High demands on the working environment, energy-efficiency, flexibility of premises and good access to public transport have been key factors when seeking a new office solution. The new facilities will be designed to promote Sweco’s growth and cooperation within the company,” says Markku Varis, President of Sweco Finland.

Sweco's new office is built as a low-energy project, aiming for the international LEED Gold environmental certificate. Sweco's energy experts will act as project manager in the project, in order to ensure energy efficiency in all of the design phases. The building complex, with a floor area of approximately 15,000 square metres, is estimated to be completed in December 2015.
