Sweco wins contract from Stockholm Public Transport, SL
Sweco has been commissioned by SL to assist in expansion of the Roslagen Line. The contract is worth over EUR 999,000 and is scheduled for completion in 2011.
“There is a lot happening in Sweden in the infrastructure area and clients are continuing to choose Sweco for projects throughout the country,” says Eva Nygren, President of Sweco Sweden.
The Roslagen Line has undergone extensive refurbishment in recent years and is today one of Sweden’s most modern railway lines. Large parts of the Roslagen Line are now being expanded to double track in order to increase capacity, shorten travel time and reduce the risk for disruptions.
Facts about the assignment:
Sweco’s services in the assignment include preparation of tender and construction documents for double track expansion of a 3-kilometre section between Kragstalund and Vallentuna Centre via Bällsta Station. When completed, the line will have three different level differences with two railway bridges and a pedestrian and bicycle bridge.
