SWECO wins major natural gas contract

SWECO has been commissioned by Sydkraft Gas to detail plan a 85 km natural gas pipeline from Norrköping to Oxelösund.

SWECO has been active in various natural gas projects in southern Sweden since the early 1980s. For the past two years, SWECO has carried out preconstruction planning of the natural gas pipeline between Norrköping and Oxelösund. ”We very pleased that Sydkraft Gas has chosen to continue collaborating with us. SWECO has the combined technical and environmental expertise required for projects of this type,” says Bo Carlsson, Managing Director of SWECO Projektledning. The detail planning process will include field work such as staking out pipeline, land surveys and geotechnical studies. Work will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2006. Commissioning of the pipeline is scheduled for the begining of 2010.
