SWECO wins order from the Swedish Road Administration

A project has been launched to enlarge Road 45 between Gothenburg and Trollhättan. SWECO VBB has been awarded a contract worth over 1.3 million Euro to prepare a work plan for one sub-section of the road between Alvhem and Kärra.

“Road 45 is in urgent need of widening and resurfacing. The road standard will be significantly enhanced through the addition of four new lanes, an investment that is necessary to provide capacity for day-to-day traffic and transport volumes”, says Lars Almqvist, Regional Manager at SWECO VBB. Work is scheduled to being shortly and to proceed until June 2006. The assignment will be carried out in collaboration between experts from several of the SWECO companies.
