SWECO Theorells has been selected to plan and design new building service systems at Scania Technical Centre in Södertälje, Sweden. The assignment is part of the overall modernisation of Scania’s testing facilities, and will provide better capabilities for performance evaluation of new engines and an improved working environment.

SWECO Theorells has been given responsibility for planning and design of ventilation, piping, control and monitoring systems in some fifty test cells for collection and analysis of engine performance data. ”We have carried out several similar assignments for Scania and therefore have many consultants with the advanced engineering expertise sought by customers of this type,” says Åsa Söderström Jerring, Managing Director of SWECO Theorells. The assignment is expected to run until 2007 and will employ four or five full-time consultants, probably more during intensive periods.
