Fly non-stop from Gothenburg to Niš with Air Serbia
The carrier Air Serbia will start operations again at Göteborg Landvetter Airport after a break of seven years. Beginning July 17, travellers in western Sweden will be able to fly to the Serbian city of Niš. The direct route will be served by two weekly departures.
Air Serbia is once again returning to Göteborg Landvetter. The new destination is Niš, the third largest city in the country, located in eastern Serbia on the river Nišava. The city is situated in the heart of the Balkans and at the crossroads of European motorways connecting Asia and western Europe.
“It is gratifying that Air Serbia is now returning to Göteborg Landvetter. We see steady growth in traffic to eastern Europe and can offer a wider selection of exciting new weekend destinations. The route will also make travel easier for passengers with Serbian roots who can conveniently visit friends and family,” said Anna Strömwall, Airport Director of Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
The direct route, to be launched on July 17, will use an Airbus A319 aircraft model. Air Serbia, based in Belgrade, started operations in 2013 and is the successor to the carriers Aeroput (1927), JAT Yugoslav Airlines (1947) and Jat Airways (2003).
