Swedavia has appointed Ali Sadeghi, Director of the New Main Lines Programme at the Swedish Transport Administration, to be the new Chief Asset Officer of Facilities and Systems and a new member of Swedavia’s group management. Sadeghi will take over the position in August.

Ali Sadeghi has many years of experience in leading positions at the Swedish Transport Administration, including as Head of Investment and Head of the Eastern Link railway line.

“I am really pleased to be able to welcome Ali to Swedavia. With his proven good leadership and extensive experience in infrastructure matters and investment-intensive operations, he will make a fantastic contribution to Swedavia’s development,” says Jonas Abrahamsson, president and CEO.

“I am very much looking forward to starting work at Swedavia. It is a wonderful business that is vital to society and plays a crucial role in Sweden’s competitiveness and at the same time is also facing a major transition. It is really exciting to be able to contribute to its continued development together with employees, customers and suppliers, and it feels like coming home again after having worked with other transport modes for 20 years,” says Ali Sadeghi.

Ali Sadeghi will succeed Caroline Ottosson, who is leaving Swedavia in the summer for a new position.

Facilities and Systems has overall responsibility for all of Swedavia’s facilities and shall ensure the performance, useful life and value of these facilities.
