Erik Ljungberg to Swedbank from Scania

Swedbank has appointed Erik Ljungberg as head of Group Communications and Sustainability – he is also a member of the Group Executive Committee. 

Erik Ljungberg is presently working for Scania, where he is holding the position as Senior Vice President with responsibility for Communications, Brand and Marketing since 2018.

“I look forward to work with Erik Ljungberg. He will give important contributions with his broad competencies from communications, marketing and sustainability in developing the bank”, says Swedbank’s President and CEO Jens Henriksson.

Erik Ljungberg has held leading international and Swedish positions since his entry at Scania in 1997. Between 2008 and 2018 he was head of Corporate Relations for Scania.

Erik Ljungberg has a Master of Science in Business administration and Management, at School of Economics and Management at Lund University. He has also been practising business journalism. Erik Ljungberg will enter his position at Swedbank no later than July.
