FöreningsSparbanken’s subsidiary Hansabank opens branch in S:t Petersburg

Hansabank Russia will open its S:t Petersburg branch on Friday 24 March. A press conference will be held at 12.30 (local time) at the “Swedish Brands and Senses” trade fair, organised by the Swedish Trade Council, Isaac’s Square 1. The press conference will be in English.

Jan Lidén, the president and CEO of FöreningsSparbanken and Druvis Murmanis, manager of Hansabank in Russia, will take part in the press conference. Hansabank runs leasing operations in Moscow, S:t Petersburg and Kaliningrad and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of FöreningsSparbanken on 1 July 2005. In September 2005, Hansabank Russia opened its first branch in Moscow. The Moscow and S:t Petersburg branches will offer quality bank services to Baltic, Nordic and Russian business customers. Another branch will open in Kaliningrad later this year. The “Swedish Brands and Senses” trade fair is part of the Swedish Trade Council's major project in Russia titled, “Sweden: Upgrade”, of which Hansabank is one of the main sponsors. This trade fair displays the best of what Sweden has to offer in tourism, design, home furnishings, food and drink, and fashion.
