New Head of Hansabank Latvia - changes in Group Executive Management

Maris Avotins has been appointed the new Head of Hansabank Latvia from January 1, 2007, succeeding Ingrida Bluma, who has decided to resign for personal reasons after 14 years as an executive with the bank. Ms. Bluma will step down at the same time from Swedbank’s Group Executive Management and be replaced by Giedrius Dusevicius, Head of Hansabank Lithuania.

Maris Avotins most recently served as Risk Manager in the Hansabank Group. He has ten years of combined experience in the financial and banking industries.

In addition, Priit Põldoja, Head of Hansabank Estonia, has been named Deputy Chairman of Hansabank Board, replacing Ingrida Bluma.
