Swedbank and Folksam have a long-established commercial collaboration in areas such as asset management and non-life insurance to create customer benefit. The parties have now signed a declaration of intent to jointly explore opportunities to extend the collaboration to create attractive customer offers within their respective operations, including lending and insurance products.

“Together we can create a more comprehensive and attractive offer for our customers. Folksam and Swedbank already have a commercial collaboration that is beneficial to both parties. I foresee that this declaration of intent will create new opportunities for our customers and respective companies,” says Tomas Hedberg, Deputy President and Deputy CEO, Swedbank.

“Folksam and Swedbank already have a commercial collaboration and we believe that we can do even more together. Insurance as well as vehicle and home financing are clear examples of areas where we can strengthen each other’s offers, but there are several other areas of interest,” says Anna Karin Laurell, Head of Marketing and Sales, Folksam

A joint task force will now continue the work of developing the customer offer. The current collaboration includes asset management between Swedbank Robur and Folksam, and Folksam’s subsidiary, Tre Kronor, who is the insurer for the non-life insurance that is marketed and sold by Swedbank and the Savings Banks.
