To decrease the risk of infection of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Board of Swedbank has decided on a number of precautionary measures regarding the Annual General Meeting.

Shareholders in Swedbank AB (publ) have previously been given notice to the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 11.00 am (CET). The Board has today decided to change location to Folkets Hus, Barnhusgatan 12-14 in Stockholm.

The new premises will better allow for participants to keep the safety distance due to the risk of infection. The Annual General Meeting will begin, as previously announced, at 11.00 am (CET) on March 26, 2020.

Shareholders who are worried about the spread of infection or belong to one of the risk groups, we would like to remind you of the opportunity to participate via a proxy rather than to attend in person. We also ask shareholders who suspect infection, have experienced symptoms of illness in the past two weeks or have been in a risk area – not to attend in person but instead appoint a proxy. This also applies to those who have been in close contact with someone who is infected with the coronavirus.

Shareholders who want to authorise a proxy can find the relevant documents available for download via the link below.

Activities planned to be held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting will also be kept as short as possible. Among other things, the bank has decided to cancel the gathering of the bank’s management prior to the Annual General Meeting and no refreshments will be served. Planned speeches are kept to a minimum and the number of representatives from the bank present is limited.

Media will still have the opportunity to follow the meeting and interview the Chairman of the Board and the CEO.

Swedbank intends to propose the AGM to enable shareholders to follow the AGM via webstream.

Additional information will be sent to the shareholders who are already registered to attend the AGM. Swedbank’s Chairman of the Board Göran Persson and CEO Jens Henriksson’s speeches will be available on the bank’s website after the AGM.
