Swedbank Robur Alternative Equity I, which was launched in the second quarter of 2022, has signed an agreement to invest 100 MSEK in Instabox via a convertible. Instabox is an established fast-growing Swedish technology company with the goal to revolutionize e-commerce shipping through fast, more sustainable, and efficient deliveries. The Swedbank Robur Alternative Equity fund focuses on investments in unlisted Swedish and Nordic companies and targets professional investors.

"With the investment in Instabox, we support an internationally expanding Swedish technology company that is driving more efficient, faster, and sustainable deliveries, thanks to a strong concept. We see that Instabox has the most advanced solution to continue revolutionizing a previously traditional industry; this is emphasized by the company's high growth and customer influx both in Sweden and internationally”, says Henrik Lundh, Head of Alternative Investments at Swedbank Robur.

Instabox was recently ranked the third fastest-growing tech company in Europe by the Financial Times. In total, the company delivers more than 3 million packages per month in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany, where the company has recently been launched. Over the past year, the company has also acquired market leaders in same-day deliveries in both Norway and the Netherlands. In addition to founders and staff, the company is owned by, among others, Creades, EQT Ventures, Tham Special Investment, and newly invested Verdane.

"We are very pleased to welcome Swedbank Robur Alternative Equity as a new investor. They share our belief in how we can continue to revolutionize the shipping world with a winning combination of market-leading locker deliveries and home deliveries that optimizes flexibility and availability for the customer," says Alexis Priftis, CEO and co-founder of Instabox.

Swedbank Robur Alternative Equity I is a Swedish based alternative investment fund for professional investors established in 2022. The fund invests long-term in unlisted Swedish and other Nordic companies. Investments will be made in both established growth companies and other privately-owned companies with a focus on sustainable value creation and transformation.
