Swedbank Robur wins award at Citywire’s Gender Diversity Awards
Swedbank Robur has been awarded "Best Regional Leader Europe" in the category of fund companies with 50–99 fund managers at Citywire’s Gender Diversity Awards 2024.
"At Swedbank Robur, gender equality and diversity are business priorities and a strategic advantage that strengthen our operations. For several years, we have actively worked with clear goals, consistent follow-up, and an inclusive corporate culture to reach where we are today, and we are very proud to receive the Citywire Gender Diversity Award," says Liza Jonson, CEO of Swedbank Robur.
"We strive to recruit and develop more female fund managers and have set a target of 40 percent women within our portfolio management team. Although we have not yet fully reached this goal, we clearly see how a balance of experiences and perspectives drives innovation, strengthens our competitiveness, and adds value to our customers and savers," says Pia Haak, CIO of Swedbank Robur.
This is the fifth year in a row that Citywire has hosted the Gender Diversity Awards. The awards are based on data from Citywire's Alpha Female Report, which analyzes:
The proportion of female fund managers
- Fund companies with the largest increase in female managers.
- Companies with the best retention rates for female employees.
The top-performing companies were selected and then reviewed by a jury comprising:
- Manuela Froehlich, Co-Founder of Fondsfrauen
- Sarah Miller, Vice President at Redington
- Selin Bucak, Freelance Journalist
- Olivia Bybel, Reporter at Citywire
The jury’s evaluation included questions about the companies' overall work on gender equality and how they integrate gender diversity considerations into their investment decisions.
