Queen Silvia Nursing Award 2023 announcement dates revealed
The Queen Silvia Nursing Award (QSNA) will announce the 2023 winners between December 18 - 22. These dates coincide with Her Majesty The Queen of Sweden's birthday on the 23 December.
The Queen Silvia Nursing Award (QSNA) is an annual award that promotes innovation and improve practices in elderly and dementia care. Since the first prize was awarded in 2013, the award has encouraged nurses, healthcare assistants and students in these two disciplines to contribute ideas that improve care for older people and people living with cognitive impairment. The award serves as a platform for care talent to present their proposals and ideas to address challenges to dignified geriatric and dementia care.
The QSNA was established in honor of Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden's many years of commitment to improving the quality of care for older people and elevating the knowledge of dementia illnesses among care professionals. Her Majesty's insights into the challenges and demands for dignified care have been the driving force behind the award's purpose - to encourage nurses and healthcare assistants to contribute innovative solutions that may shape the future of care for the elderly.

Main Partner include Addere Care of Lithuania, University of Washington School of Nursing, Zerhusen & Blömer of Germany, and Medicover Foundation of Poland.
In Sweden and Finland, the QSNA is driven by Swedish Care International and the Forum For Elderly Care - both founding organizations of the Award.
