SLP achieves its goal of installed power in solar cells ahead of schedule
SLP has achieved its goal of having 15 MW of installed power in solar cells. The goal was adopted at the beginning of 2023 with the ambition to be achieved by the end of 2025. The 15 MW is distributed among 35 properties out of a total of 99 properties.
"It is very pleasing that we are already achieving the target for installed power in solar cells. We continue our expansion and work continuously to optimize our properties with a focus on reduced operating costs and increased sustainability. In this way, we have successfully optimized the energy use in parts of our property portfolio, but there is still much to do," says Tommy Åstrand, CEO of SLP.
SLP develops and manages logistics properties that have large and flat roofs, which provide good conditions for installing solar cell systems. Investments in solar cells not only lead to improved net operating income, but also reduce the risk of price volatility and lack of electricity capacity.
SLP's sustainability framework is revised every two years, hence new objectives will be adopted from 2025.
