Swegon divests UltimAir to Airvance Group
Swegon Group AB has entered into an agreement to divest its subsidiary UltimAir, part of Swegon Netherlands, to Airvance Group. UltimAir has operated as a pure wholesale distributor of third-party products — a business model that differs from the strategic direction Swegon is pursuing.
In recent years, the indoor climate market has evolved, with clear trends toward more integrated system solutions. During this time, Swegon has continued to sharpen its focus on its core strategy: developing and manufacturing high-performance HVAC products and complete system solutions, supported by its own innovation and production footprint.
By transferring ownership to Airvance Group, UltimAir’s former owner and a company with a dedicated focus on wholesale distribution, UltimAir becomes part of a business environment aligned with its distribution-oriented operations. This supports the company’s continued development and customer relationships in the long term.
“UltimAir has been a valued part of Swegon, and we are proud of the work the team has done,” says Eva Karlsson, CEO Swegon Group. “At the same time, our strategic direction is clear: we are concentrating our efforts on system solutions developed and manufactured within Swegon. Airvance, with their strong wholesale profile, will provide a solid foundation to take UltimAir forward,” Eva continues.
Airvance Group’s established position within European wholesale distribution ensures continuity for customers, suppliers, and employees. With a dedicated focus and deep expertise in this segment, Airvance is well positioned to strengthen UltimAir’s position in the market.
“The integration of UltimAir is fully in line with our development momentum in Europe. With its historical presence in the Netherlands, recognised expertise, and close relationships with installers, UltimAir brings new strength to the Airvance Group in a strategic market. We are delighted to welcome the UltimAir teams to the Airvance Group and to build this new chapter together,” says Laurent Dolbeau, CEO Airvance Group.
UltimAir is a subsidiary to Swegon Netherlands, headquartered in Berkel en Rodenrijs and has a turnover of Euro 9.4 million.
