Swegon is proud to announce the approval of its near and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). The SBTi has verified Swegon’s net-zero science-based targets by 2050.    In the near-term, Swegon has committed to reduce scope 1 GHG emissions a total of 42 % by 2030 from a 2022 base year.* Swegon will also increase the annual sourcing of renewable energy to 100 % by 2030. Swegon has since end of 2022 an agreement with ArcelorMittal to buy steel with significantly lower climate footprint. During 2023, the first Magnelis® deliveries produced of XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel were received, and Swegon will now introduce this steel in high-volume serial production. Swegon is pleased to announce a significant contract to supply 40 air-to-water heat pumps to Fortum's new heat pump plants connected to its district heating network. These plants, strategically located in Kolabacken, Kirkkonummi, and Hepokorpi in Espoo, Finland, aim to set new standards for sustainable energy solutions.
