STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 24th, 2010 – Symsoft, a leading supplier of charging, messaging and value added services, today announced that Unify Mobile has selected Symsoft to provide Nobill SMSC, an SMS delivery solution.

Dutch-based Unify Mobile, a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) owned by Unify Group Holding BV, has chosen Nobill SMSC to deliver SMS messages in their network. The Nobill SMSC solution will serve subscribers in several European countries, meeting the growing need for capacity and functionality in Unify Mobile’s ongoing expansion.

“We have chosen Symsoft because we can, with a single SMSC, service the six countries where we will be live this year, including the MNOs In&Phone Switzerland and Allcommunications in Liechtenstein” says Carel Begeer, CEO, Unify Nederland B.V.

Unify Mobile will leverages the Virtual SMSC functionality of Nobill SMSC to operate several separate SMSC instances from one centralized location. “By centralizing our SMSC resources, we will be able to increase our efficiency in operations and simplify system management. Nobill SMSC also provides us with valuable features that improve our ability to compete in the market place”, Mr Begeer continues.

Among these additional features, the Nobill SMSC solution delivered to Unify Mobile includes a Home Routing function which introduces the ability for all MT (Mobile Terminated) short messages from foreign SMSCs to route via the home operator network, regardless of if the recipient subscriber is registered in the home network or roaming in a foreign network.

“We are looking forward to working with Unify Mobile in the development and delivery of exciting new services to its customers. Unify Mobile’s innovative thinking makes them an interesting partner and an important customer for Symsoft”, says Peter Jansson, Sales Director at Symsoft.

Carel Begeer concludes: “SMS traffic volume continues to grow in many markets so it is important for us to have an SMSC infrastructure that can grow both in terms of capacity and functionality. It was obvious to consider Symsoft, an established messaging vendor, and after careful deliberation we found it to be the vendor best suited to our demands.”

Unify Mobile also purchased a USSD Gateway for balance check and top-up, simplifying customer interaction.
