The Swedish consulting and software provider Systecon AB has received an order from Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) for OPUS10. The order includes both licenses and training for the optimization software OPUS10.

As Australia´s largest specialized defense shipbuilding organization, ASC serves the frontline of Australia´s naval defense capabilities. ASC will use OPUS10 in their current re-evaluation and improvement of the logistic support solution for the Collins Class Submarine program.

- “We are proud that ASC selects OPUS10 as their decision support tool for logistics support and maintenance analysis needs in this important project. The operational availability of military systems is crucial during both training and assignments, and OPUS10 is an ideal tool for achieving that. Australia is one of our most important markets and we have in recent years been awarded several orders from the Australian defense sector” says Robert Hell, Managing Director at Systecon AB

The purchase was managed by Systecon's Australian representative Thales Australia.

OPUS10 is a software for optimization of spare parts and logistic support solutions for complex technical systems within defense, transportation, energy and production. OPUS10 makes it possible to increase the availability of technical systems while at the same time decreasing stock levels for spares and reducing the invested capital by as much as 30%. This is achieved through a holistic approach with advanced algorithms that evaluate and optimize spares supply for the entire support organization and thereby maximizing the effectiveness for the technical system.
