Systemair awarded Stora exportpriset (Major Export Award) One of Europe’s leading ventilation companies, Systemair has been awarded Stora exportpriset (Major Export Award). The Award was presented by His Majesty, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

Systemair has built up an internationally successful engineering group with its base in Skinnskatteberg, Sweden. Since its formation in 1974 the company has managed sustainable growth to become one of leading player within the ventilation trade. Today, the company has manufacturing plants in seven countries and sales to more than sixty countries. More than 85 percent of the company’s sales take place outside Sweden. The jury found that the company has combined an expansive and successful export business with good profitability and positive development on the Swedish market. Ulf Berg, President of the Swedish Trade Council pointed out that the company has succeeded in building an international, Swedish engineering group – something that many people thought was no longer possible.

– We concentrated from the outset to establish ourselves internationally and today Russia is our single largest market. It is satisfying that this concentration has resulted in so much success. The fact that we now have received the Major Export Award shows that we have chosen the right way, says Gerald Engström, President and CEO of Systemair.. During the last ten years the company, which plans an IPO on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during 2007, has averaged an annual growth of 16 percent. The turnover in 2005/2006 was 250 million EUR and profit before tax 25 million EUR. The Stora exportpriset (Major Export Award) was presented by the Swedish Trade Council at the annual Stora exportdagen (Major Export Day) at the China Teatern in Stockholm.
