Game Developer Southend, subsidiary of Tactel, grows above trend

Global Southend Productions, the Malmo based games developer acquired by Tactel in 2005, is continuing its expansion following the refocus of the business on mobile game and entertainment development, even faster than other parts of the Tactel mobile software engineering services. Since the acquisition by Tactel, Southend has grown its number of professional game developers by 340%, while the total number of employees at Tactel has grown by 80 %.

Over the past years Tactel has developed into a significant provider of software engineering services all three major player types in the network world; handset manufacturers, network operators and content providers. The company today employs 170 professionals in its offices in Malmo, Lund and Husqvarna, Sweden.
