Meet the animals and raise funds at TAG Pet Rescue’s Open Day on 23rd August
TAG Pet Rescue, the Thanet-based animal shelter, is holding its annual Open Day this year on Sunday 23rd August.
The day runs from 10am-4pm and visitors will be able to browse books and crafts stalls, enjoy a BBQ, cakes and other food and refreshments, music, a china smash and even get their face painted at this fundraising event!
From 11am, the sanctuary is open for people to visit some of the rescued cats (such as Frankie, pictured) and small furries who have been given a second chance by TAG and who are seeking new forever homes.
TAG say: “Our annual Open Day is a great way for us to not only raise much needed funds for the animals in our care, but showcase what we do at TAG and hopefully get good homes for our animals.
“It is a fun event for all the family with lots to see and do. 100% of the proceeds raised at these events goes straight to the charity and helps pay for medical bills and the running of the sanctuary”.
The event will be held at TAG Pet Rescue at Lydden Farm, Valley Rd, Margate CT9 4LF (Just off Manston Ct Rd).
Admission to see the animals is just £1 and there is ample onsite parking.
The charity helps hundreds of animals a year as well as runs an education programme locally to raise awareness of animal welfare and care.
