TAG Pet Rescue seeks a long term foster home for a special cat

TAG Pet Rescue, the Thanet-based animal shelter, is looking for a foster home for Zimba, a very special cat.

Handsome tabby cat Zimba is 7 years old and has been in isolation at TAG Pet Rescue for 4 months and is now ready to go to a very special foster home. This means that TAG will pay all Zimba’s vet bills and will be very hands on and support his foster carer all the way.

Zimba suffers from Stomatitis which is an inflammation of the mouth and he also has an infection called Calci Virus which can be passed on to other cats.

He has just started a new regime of treatment with steroids and pain relief medication to which he has responded well and is much more comfortable.

He will have to be an indoor cat with no other cats or children and as he loves company we would like it to be with someone who is home a fair amount of time.

TAG says: “It would be wonderful to see Zimba roaming freely in a proper loving home, rather than living out his life in isolation which would be so tragic for this lovely and affectionate kitty.

“He is such a loving boy who would give so much love in return for a warm lap and a tasty bowl of food”.
