Press release Stockholm, December 23, 2015
TagMaster, the leading producer of advanced RFID products & ANPR cameras for long range vehicle identification in Traffic Solutions and Rail Solutions, has been awarded a large NRE project contract, which will be followed by product deliveries, from one of the major signal system supplier within rail.
This NRE (no recurring engineering) project is the final phases in a larger project where TagMaster announced the prototype NRE approximately one year ago. The NRE will be followed with product deliveries starting 2016 and continue for a 3-4 year period and will be the largest railproject for TagMaster to date.
The contract covers the final development phases of a new full scale product for use in a large re- signaling, and radical modernisation, project for a CBTC (Communications-based train control) system that address the expected increase in traffic over the coming years. This modernisation will bring faster, more frequent and more reliable journeys to millions of passengers using the network and supports the city’s continued economic growth.
“TagMaster is pleased being awarded this NRE project and this further establishes us as one of the preferred partners within RFID solutions for signaling system within CBTC applications. This follows our strategy becoming a closer partner with our client’s adding value already at the NRE phase and adding this service as an additional revenue stream together with product sales and support sales. “ said Jonas Svensson, CEO, TagMaster
