TagMaster, a leading supplier of data solutions and advanced sensor systems for Smart Cities within Traffic and Rail, has signed an agreement for the supply of RFID systems for automatically speed control to the tram project TRAM CHARLEROI in Belgium. The order is worth approximately 10 million SEK.

The order concerns the delivery of approximately 700 units of OMR 81 C sensors to one of the major player within signaling systems, which on behalf of the Belgian local transport company TEC delivers system for automatically train protection to the TRAM CHARLEROI tramway project. TagMaster's RFID sensors, which are partly placed in the carts and partly in the ground, will function as automatically speed control.

TagMaster has previously successfully delivered RFID solutions for tram detection and location to TEC.

”The deal proofs that our solutions are of high quality. Safety is of utmost importance when trams circulate on above-ground track, in curves, slopes or in tunnels. The reliability of the security system is crucial”, said Jonas Svensson, CEO, TagMaster.

Delivery will take place in 2023 and 2024.
