Talkpool releases second generation of LoRaWAN temperature and humidity sensor
The new product is called the OY1110 LoRaWAN temperature and humidity sensor
One of Talkpool’s earliest mass-market IoT sensors was the OY1100 LoRaWAN temperature and humidity sensor, which has been successfully used for indoor climate supervision, energy savings and prevention of building damages, all over Europe. Over the past years, Talkpool has learned a lot from these in-field experiences, which has allowed the company not only to develop new high-quality sensor devices, but also to develop an improved version of this classic sensor.
In the OY1110, the following changes have been implemented:
• Upgrade to Talkpool High Security LoRaWAN platform 2.0
• Flexible measurement interval
• Improved battery capacity to support >10 years with 15 min intervals
• Improved response time
• Increased temperature and humidity sensors accuracy
• Optimized radio performance
The OY1110 is a mass-market product, with the highest quality and security. The market for this sensor is huge since large parts of the traditional building automation industry are migrating to the LoRaWAN from W-MBUS. In addition, the long-range capability enables multiple new business cases, e.g. detecting building damages, temperature compliances in hospitals etc.
The OY1110 LoRaWAN Temperature and humidity sensor is now available in large volumes. The new sensor allows for use cases with short measurement intervals, as intervals are configurable, and the unit is equipped with a large battery to support 15 min intervals while keeping 10 years life-length.
