TalkPool wins strategic IoT contract in smart buildings together with Sigren
TalkPool AG and Sigren Engineering AG and is awarded an IoT smart building assignment for real estate in Zürich, Switzerland, hosting a large search engine company and other prime tenants. The project is considered as strategically important. The order value is initially limited but has good opportunities to be expanded.
Sigren is selected to supply smart building technology for managing heating, lighting and blinds. Sigren is expanding on its existing building automation solutions while TalkPool is providing new innovative technologies that integrate into existing products and services platforms. This project marks an important strategic step towards providing cloud services and IoT radio technologies on top of existing IT solutions. This will allow the tenants to reduce energy costs while improving control of buildings and homes.
Talkpool will supply a complete end-to-end LoRa-based Internet of Things (IoT) solution that hosts different kind of sensors, a smart home gateway in each apartment, IoT App technology and cloud services. Inhabitants will be able to manage blinds and lights remotely through an App that is integrated into the existing user media platform. A range of devices will be connected through WLAN (WiFi), 3GPP (3G), LoRa and glass fibre. The project is characterized by a very high level of innovation and involves new developments combined with customizing of hardware and software into existing products.
The revenue per apartment is CHF 12.000 and the initial contract includes 2 apartments.
