Kevin Maher joins Arkessa as Managing Director
Appointment paves way to new growth for remote Internet firm Arkessa The remote internet and machine-to-machine specialist Arkessa has appointed Kevin Maher as Managing Director.
Arkessa delivers the connections needed for the creation of pan-European and global wireless data networks. Using 2G and 3G technologies, its remote internet links enable businesses to become more efficient while new concepts and operational models can become commercial reality. Kevin has 25 years’ experience of the mobile telecoms industry. He has held strategic roles in operations, engineering, product management and professional services at a number of industry-leading organisations, including Ericsson, Nokia and NEC. And before joining Arkessa he was Solutions Director at Huawei. Kevin said: ”The challenge Arkessa is embracing is to grow connection numbers rapidly into the millions while continuing to maintain its reputation for excellence in customer service. As well as expanding sales and adding members to the team, Arkessa has created The Centre for Remote Internet: a massively scalable and secure management hub for data management and switching, hosted at Telehouse London by Japanese telecoms giant KDDI. Kevin is a graduate in Engineering from the University of Ulster, and was awarded an MBA by the University of Durham.
