New CEO for TDC

The Board of TDC is pleased to announce that Henrik Poulsen will succeed Jens Alder as CEO of TDC ef-fectively today. Henrik Poulsen, 41, has been a member of the management team in TDC’s largest busi-ness unit, Fixnet Nordic.

Jens Alder will continue in TDC until the end of November to ensure that all major tasks are handed over to Henrik Poulsen. Jens Alder continues as a member of the TDC board in TDC’s Swiss subsidiary, Sun-rise.

Chairman of the Board, Vagn Sørensen: “Over the past two years, Jens Alder has very successfully led and implemented an extensive optimisation process within TDC and increased focus on the core business. This process has progressed to the stage where it is now time to open a new chapter, with customer fo-cus and market positioning at the forefront. The Board sees Henrik Poulsen as the obvious choice to take the lead on this journey.”

Jens Alder: “I am very satisfied with the way TDC has developed, while I was the primary responsible in the company. The Board now wants a new profile to continue the development of TDC. These are the conditions of the CEO and I naturally accept this.”

Henrik Poulsen is the choice after an international recruitment effort, wherein a number of qualified can-didates have been evaluated.

“Henrik Poulsen has been up against a very strong field to take the post as CEO of TDC, and in all the important parameters he was the number one choice of the Board,” Chairman Vagn Sørensen empha-sises.

Henrik Poulsen has a degree in Finance and Accounting from Aarhus Business School. Previously, he has been part of the management team at LEGO, where he was globally responsible for sales and marketing and as such a key figure in LEGO’s successful turn-around. Furthermore, the future CEO of TDC has worked as a senior Operating Executive within KKR Capstone as well as Novo Nordisk and McKinsey & Co.

Henrik Poulsen is originally from Givskud in Jutland, but today resides in Copenhagen with his wife and two children.

The future CEO of TDC, Henrik Poulsen, emphasises: “I look forward to continuing to build on the strong foundation laid by Jens Alder. TDC already has a good platform in the Danish and Nordic markets. But we face challenges with pressure on turnover and this will definitely be one of my focus points. TDC’s com-petitive power must be strengthened so that there is no doubt that we are the first choice of the custom-ers. That’s the way to withstand the pressure on our top line revenue.”
