NEW BOARD APPOINTMENTS – BIRDSTEP TECHNOLOGY ASA

OSLO, Norway – 29 April 2015 – Birdstep Technology ASA (Birdstep), a leading provider of HetNet optimisation solutions, today announced the appointment of Urban Gillström and Regina Nilsson to the Company’s board of directors.

Urban Gillström is currently Vice President of Hewlett Packard, responsible for strategic global accounts within Telco industries. Gillström is also engaged with IT and Internet industry companies and start-ups as an independent advisor and business angel. He has over 30 years’ experience of telecommunications, IT and Internet, beginning as technical officer in the Swedish Army and most recently as President and CEO of the NASDAQ OMX Nordic listed company TradeDoubler. Gillström has also held senior leadership positions with Ericsson, Sony Ericsson and Comverse in three global regions.

With over 25 years’ experience in senior executive and consulting roles in the Telecommunications and IT industries, Regina Nilsson has worked in over 30 countries, in a variety of CEO, management, sales, product development and consulting roles. She is currently a Global Account General Manager for Hewlett Packard and on the board of directors for Net Insight. Nilsson has also held the position as a managing principal for Ericsson Business Consulting (Western Europe) and as principal consultant (partner level) at Nokia Siemens Networks.

Both appointments took effect at the AGM on 27 April 2015. At the same time  current board members Arne Aarnes and Anna Malm Bernsten declined re-election.
