Sale of Birdstep Technology AB has been finalized

Birdstep Technology ASA (“BIRD”) today announced that the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary Birdstep Technology AB to Smith Micro Software Inc (“SMSI”), previously announced on 8 March and in a detailed stock exchange announcement on 10 March 2016, and approved by shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting on 31 March 2016, has been finalized.

As an effect of the transaction, CFO Sophie Rabenius will immediately leave her position in BIRD and her employment will follow the transaction to SMSI. BIRD´s COO, Fredrik Johansson, will step in as acting CFO.

Also note that, following the finalization of the transaction, the website www.birdstep.com will be directed towards SMSI.  From today, BIRD´s new website www.birdstepasa.com is online.
